Merry Christmas!

This is how my attempt to get a Christmas picture ended.

Reed

Sara on her new phone. She kept that next to her ear for about an hour.

The girls.

Even though Hyrum's eye is closed this is the best picture I got.

Merry Christmas!

One of my friends helped me get all dressed up to go to a party. The dressing up was really fun.

My Birthday! :)

Miriam doesn't look anything like me, does she?
Reed playing with static electricity

The balloon stuck even when she moved her head.

Hyrum watching Sara and her balloon.

Hyrum's taking the picture and Sam and Sara aren't yet in the picture.:)

A big thank you to all my friends and family for making my birthday special. Since Cesar was working today we went on a date on Friday evening, thanks to Tiffany. Friday morning Missy watched Miriam and Sara so I could get my hair cut. Sat. we went to the temple and out to lunch with the stake president and his wife who happen to be our friends. (The stake president is younger than me. He just turned 30 on Friday.) and today I took my children up to my parents for dinner with my family. Here are some pictures. :) Luckily we made it back out of the canyon without any problems because it was snowing on the way down and like dad says, be careful, the canyon's dangerous. A bunch of friends sent me happy birthday notes on facebook which was really fun.

Thanksgiving Day

Before the race, Hyrum, who took fifth in the under 11 age group, poses with my sister Vero who took 11th for me :)
This is just after the race posing--Hyrum ahead, with red raceday-shirt long sleeves flapping in the WIND he created. Hyrum ran a 5k today with Vero. He did awesome! I was going to run with him but last night came down with fluid in my lungs so "the doctor" put me on medicine in the middle of the night and then went to work in the NICU until Friday after noon. Isaac took this picture. I didn't have the camera with me to take a picture during the race but Hyrum looked strong and ran well.

The boys went fishing on Friday

Look at all those fish!

There's a canal near our house that Isaac's scout pack fished on Tues. He came home saying they caught a WHOLE bunch of fish. Hyrum wanted to go immediately. I didn't really believe Isaac. So Friday. ...Here are some pictures. The screaming is Miriam seeing fish for the first time. I should have taken a picture of her face.

Preschool co-op for Miriam

Aren't those great looking people?

Had a great day today. I'm soo glad to be doing a co-op for Miriam. We talked about families and made marshmallow fams.

The Garden

Our tomatoes and corn are getting big.
Hyrum is the big garden helper.
Everyday we get a bag full of ripe tomatoes for about the past week. :)

Miriam burned her face :(

The blessing is that now about 6 weeks later you can barely see the burn.
Reed picked these flowers for Miriam on a hike up Mill Creek Canyon this past Friday.
She's holding her hand this way because she had fallen and scraped it. Thankfully, God has blessed her face to heal.

Miriam took this picture of herself.

She wanted a picture of the burn. I was so sad.

Lesson-be careful with the microwave.

Miriam wanted peanut butter and honey sandwiches for lunch. I tried to get the honey but it was coming out slowly so I said I would microwave it. In the meantime I started washing off Sara's high chair tray. Miriam decided she would do the microwaving so she stuck the little honey bear in, but, she didn't remove the cap and pushed 1 which meant it cooked for 1 minute. Miriam heard a pop so she went and opened the door(at 37 secs.). The honey had gotten too hot and exploded in the microwave. When she opened the door the honey splashed on her face and you see the resulting burn.

Camping up American Fork Canyon

In the middle of the night the dog barked at something. I liked having the dog in the middle of nowhere.
Cesar with Sara really early since she didn't sleep well.
By 6 am we'd had enough and began packing. We made it home just in time for free breakfast at Dan's.
This is what we did to end Cesar's vacation after spending nearly the entire three weeks working on the back yard.

Grass in the backyard. Yeah!

Cesar leveled the yard a bit. We also made it bigger by changing the fences.
The "mountain mover" with his assistant.
We spread out 3 dump truck loads of topsoil before laying sod.

Been too busy playing to share all the fun. :) We put grass in our backyard. It is soo nice to have a backyard.

Isaac turned 10!

We were almost too busy to have cake and icecream. But, the dog training class got rained out so we had cake instead. Cesar performed his second marriage last night. He's really getting lots of experience most people his age don't have.

I can't believe my oldest son is a decade old! He wanted a watch to keep track of the next ten years.

Hyrum turned 8!

Santa even made it. :)

Hyrum was baptized on June 6.

A very common face for her.

St. George Gardner Reunion

Sara crying on the way home. Tired of that carseat.
Isaac about to splash Alexis at the park. It was 75 degrees. (Snowing here now.)

The statue of Robert Gardner Jr. March 31, 2009

This is the tabernacle where Elder Holland (great grandson) of Robert Gardner Jr. gave a tribute talk and dedicated a statue. There was a crowd of about 900 descendants. It was so cool. Elder Holland's mother is the oldest living descendent grandaughter at age 94. I feel so blessed to have such faithful ancestors and the journal with some of the stories. Elder Holland spoke about how important education, being faithful and obedient, and the role of strong faithful women were in Robert's life. If it weren't for the women, none of us would be here.

Reed's 6th Birthday

The knight in shining armor. Notice the diaper box? He got lots of diapers.:)
The boys taking care of Sara.

Reed turned 6 on Tuesday. He's a spiderman climbing on the web with his friends at a nearby playground. Even though it was slightly cold we decided to still play at the park and then come home for presents and cake. The day he came home from the hospital was the beginning of an ice storm in Rochester. Our Whipple Park apartment flooded because the power went out and we ended up going to the Seibach's for a night. We watched General Conference on their computer. The Anderson's also stayed with them.

Miriam turned 3

Miriam looks like me at her age.
The headband that will save her after she thrashed her hair with the scissors yesterday.
She was so excited about the princess gifts mom gave her for Christmas.

Miriam turned 3 and had the best princess party and the boys took the camera and locked it in their room (with the screwdriver that we use to unlock their door, safely locked inside) so no pictures of the princess party until my friend gets back from her trip and sends me her pictures. I'll just post some pictures of Miriam anyway. Yesterday she took some scissors to her hair. Luckily she has a headband that covers most of the bald spots she created. It will be awhile before her hair will look nice again.
Love you Miriam.

Cesar has been called as branch president

The new branch president in his new (to us) red car.

Cesar was called as branch president of the spanish branch we've been attending for about a year and a half. As my grandpa put it. This will be a great challenge. Grandpa knows what residency is like. I know the Lord will provide the way to accomplish the things He commands.
